ARIA BLAKE is a female fronted symphonic metal band of the new age.
The band consists of 5 members:
Tatiana Stanishich on vocals, Eric Palumbo on drums, Willdric Lievin and
Pierre Deprugney on guitars, and Vincent Camacho on bass. Most of the band members
come from France, while the singer is a Canadian living in Germany.
The first released single by ARIA BLAKE is a duet “As Night Descends” that features Ambre Vourvahis of Xandria.
“Stabat Mater Dolorosa” is the second single released by the band,
which features Roland Grapow of Masterplan, Ex-Helloween on the solo guitar. The two
songs have a classical symphonic metal sound due to their thick orchestration and yet
offer plenty of new musical ideas. ARIA BLAKE is about to release their EP “As Night
Descends” soon, which will be followed by a release of an ambitious album “The Haunting
of Scarlet Falls”
BAND MEMBERS BIOS:
Tatiana is a professional opera and metal singer. She started going to a music school at the
age of 8, while her passion for metal sparked in her teenage years, as she sang in a
symphonic metal band in Canada. This was followed by 10 years of classical music
education and various degrees from universities across the world. Tatiana has sung
professionally at opera theatres in North America and Europe. Some of her musical
inspirations are Nightwish, Epica, Giacomo Puccini and Tchaikovsky. She edits and writes
the lyrics, as well as harmonizes the vocals in the band. Tatiana is thrilled to bring her
unusual musical experiences to ARIA BLAKE and the metal scene and to offer a different
spin on music making and stage presence.
ERIC:
With a background in heavy metal, classical music and film music, for which he discovered
a passion through the work of Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman, Eric found the fusion of
these genres in 2000 in Nightwish's “Wishmaster” and Within Temptation's “Mother Earth”.
He formed his first band in this genre, Edenfall, in 2002. In 2008 Eric started Despairhate,
another symphonic metal band, but this time with more extreme metal influences. In 2013
the band released the album “Requiem For The Innocent”. Being also a fan of melodic
death metal, Eric put together Aember in 2018, a project influenced by Arch Enemy. The
band released two singles that received some success online, but the project stopped its
work due to the pandemic. After this Eric decided to pursue his own vision of symphonic
metal in a studio project by composing a concept album for which he would write the story
and which would pay tribute to his mentors, Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman, as well as
Tim Burton and Guillermo del Toro. Initially called Aria, the project began in 2015 and was
renamed to ARIA BLAKE in 2022, once the team of musicians started coming together and
the band was given a new breath.
WILLDRIC:
Willdric Lievin is a French musician, primarily recognized for his contributions to the
symphonic metal scene. Born in Nice, he discovered an interest for drums at the age of 8.
In 1998 he founded the band Fairyland with keyboardist Philippe Giordana. The band is
distinguished by its epic and symphonic compositions and released two demos: "Tribute to
Universe" in 1999 and "Realm of Wonders" in 2002. These works attracted the attention of
the underground metal scene and paved the way for their debut album, "Of Wars in
Osyrhia," released in 2003 under the label NTS (now Replica Records). Fairyland enjoyed
tours with Sonata Arctica, Leaves’ Eyes, Kamelot, as well as playing major festivals, such as
Swedish Rock Festival. After the departure of Lievin and vocalist Elisa C. Martin in 2004,
Fairyland continued with a new lineup. Lievin collaborated with Elisa C. Martin to form the
band Hamka, which released the album "Unearth" in 2006. At the same time he produced
and collaborated as producer and sound engineer with many bands and released more than
15 albums. After disbanding in 2006, Fairyland reformed in 2010 with Lievin and other
members, releasing two albums and continuing to perform. In 2023 he joined ARIA BLAKE
as both guitarist and producer.
PIERROT:
Pierre, aka Pierrot, began learning to play guitar at the age of 16. Only one year later, in
2018, he joined his first band Blackout, a cover band playing songs by Green Day,
Metallica, Judas Priest, Airbourne, Mötley Crüe and Black Sabbath. Around this time he
grew the love for the stage and the desire to pursue music. In 2019 Pierrot and his friends
formed a heavy metal band Otherhead. These two bands had to stop their activity due to
the pandemic. Afterwards, Pierrot left France to work as an entertainment manager in the
tourism industry, where he performs solo on the guitar very regularly. In 2024 Pierrot joined
ARIA BLAKE. While he writes and produces his own music, plays drums, bass, and sings,
the electric guitar remains his main instrument.
VINCENT:
Vincent is keen on movie soundtracks and the synthesizer, which he began studying at the
age of 10. He began playing the bass at the age of 14 and his musical inspirations were
mainly Iron Maiden, Pantera, and Angra. After a few years of studying at various music
schools and after having played in various bands, Vincent joined Northwind, the new band
of Heavenly’s former guitarist Chris Savourey in 2003. This was followed by touring with
many bands like Karelia, Jeff Scott Soto and Primal Fear, after which Vincent and the singer
Stefan Tudela formed a new band Edensands. In 2006 Edensands released an album
“Living Kills” signed under Brennus Music. In 2019 Vincent joined the band Aember, where
his collaboration with Eric began.
